Demario Douglas Trending In The Wrong Direction
one year ago

New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Demario Douglas (concussion) missed his second straight day of practice on Thursday. With JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion) also having not practiced at this week, the Patriots receiving corps could be extremely thin against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 6. Both wideouts are running out of time to clear the league's concussion protocol. Even if they both gain clearance, it's extremely hard to recommend any offensive skill player in a Patriots offense that has put up just three points in the last two weeks. Tyquan Thornton (shoulder) has been limited in two practices this week, so he could have a decent role in his season debut this Sunday if he's activated from Injured Reserve. If both Douglas and Smith-Schuster don't play, rookie Kayshon Boutte could be New England's No. 3 behind Kendrick Bourne and DeVante Parker.
