Demario Douglas A Solid Start In Week 9
one year ago

New England Patriots wide receiver Demario Douglas is a solid FLEX option, especially in PPR formats, in Week 9 against the Washington Commanders. The Patriots recently placed Kendrick Bourne (knee) on IR and have ruled out DeVante Parker (concussion) for Week 9, leaving JuJu Smith-Schuster, Douglas, and Jalen Reagor atop the wide receiver depth chart. Over the last two weeks, Douglas has seen 13 targets, catching nine of them for 79 yards. He led New England in snaps and targets in the Week 8 loss to the Miami Dolphins so the arrow is pointing up on the rookie wide receiver. Reagor is not much of a threat to eat into Douglas' target share and Smith-Schuster has been largely ineffective this year. Douglas has a chance to lead New England in targets while facing the leaky Washington defense. He is worth starting this week and should be rostered moving forward.
