DeAndre Hopkins Vanishes In Second Half
one year ago

Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (toe) looked no worse for wear with his toe injury while gathering four catches (seven targets) for 60 yards with a five-yard carry in the first half of Thursday's eventual 20-16 defeat to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The problem is that the 31-year-old disappeared during the final two quarters, going catchless on four targets over this time. Hopkins' highlight of the night was a vintage 29-yard catch-and-run down the middle, spinning his way into a first down with Tennessee inside their own five-yard line late in the first quarter. If rookie quarterback Will Levis remains the starter going forward, Week 9 was a glimpse of some possible inconsistencies Hopkins could experience after erupting for three touchdowns in Week 8. The five-time Pro Bowler should still be a high-end WR2 regardless of who is throwing passes to him on Nov. 12 against a pass-funnel Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense with four of the NFL's top offenses on bye in Week 10.
