Dawand Jones To Miss Rest Of Season With Knee Injury
12 months ago

Cleveland Browns rookie right tackle Dawand Jones (knee) will miss the rest of the 2023 season with a torn right MCL that will require surgery. The good news is he didn't tear his ACL, which would have required a nine- to 12-month recovery. The fourth-rounder out of Ohio State injured his knee in practice last Thursday and missed the Week 14 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jones was out of shape in his first training camp over the summer but worked his way to being one of the best right tackles in the league in his first NFL season. The 22-year-old offensive tackle will be replaced by James Hudson III for the rest of the year. While Jones isn't a household name, this is a notable injury for Cleveland's offense the rest of the way. The Browns were down to their fourth and fifth tackle options in Sunday's game against the Jags.
