David Njoku Still Missing From Practice
one year ago

Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku (face, hand) missed another day of practice on Thursday. Njoku suffered bad burns on his face and hand during an accident at home before the Week 4 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, but he managed to play through the injuries and caught six passes for 46 yards. The Browns had their bye last week. However, the 27-year-old is still dealing with the burns and should be considered questionable to play in Week 6 against the San Francisco 49ers. He will probably need to return to practice on Friday to give himself a shot to play Sunday. Even if Njoku plays, though, he'll be a tight end to fade with quarterback Deshaun Watson (shoulder) missing his second straight game against the best defense in the NFL in the 49ers. If Njoku is inactive, Harrison Bryant would take over No. 1 TE duties.
