David Njoku A TE2 In Week 6
one year ago

Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku (arm, face) heads into a Week 6 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers with a questionable tag. Njoku didn't practice on Wednesday or Thursday but was upgraded to a limited session on Friday as the team gears up for a home matchup against San Francisco. Njoku suffered burns on his arm and face the day before a Week 4 loss to the Baltimore Ravens but ultimately wound up playing. Now almost two weeks after the injury, Njoku is likely to suit up in Week 6 against a San Francisco defense that is allowing just the 26th-most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends. Just as concerning is the fact that the Browns will have P.J. Walker, not Deshaun Watson, under center. Njoku settles in as a low-end TE2 for Week 6. If Njoku ends up not playing, look for both Harrison Bryant and Jordan Akins to help cover his absence. Neither player would be a particularly enticing fantasy option in that scenario.
