David Montgomery Rushes For 85 Yards In Week 15 Win

Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery rushed 17 times for 85 yards during Saturday's win over the Denver Broncos. He played a minor role in the passing game, too, hauling in two of three targets for a loss of three yards through the air. While the 26-year-old led the team in touches and delivered an impressive 5.0 YPC, he was still out-produced by rookie Jahmyr Gibbs, who totaled 100 rushing yards and two touchdowns in the effort. In fact, it does appear that Gibbs has been the preferred option around the goal line lately. Nevertheless, both backs have shown that they can co-exist, and they should both be started in fantasy football when the Lions face the Minnesota Vikings in Week 16.
