David Montgomery Returns To Practice
one year ago

Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery (ribs) returned to practice on Tuesday. The Lions won't hold their first official practice coming off their bye week until Wednesday, so we won't know exactly how much Montgomery did in practice on Tuesday, but the only thing that matters is that he's trending toward playing in Week 10 against the Los Angeles Chargers after missing Weeks 7 and 8 with a rib-cartilage injury. The 26-year-old could be eased back into the fold this Sunday if he's active, though, especially with rookie first-rounder Jahmyr Gibbs coming off the best performance of his young career in Week 8. But before Monty's injury, he was Detroit's clear lead back, so he should at least have flex appeal in Week 10 if he returns to the field in a plus matchup against LA.
