Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery (ribs) is due to return in Week 10 against the Los Angeles Chargers with the team coming out of their bye week. Montgomery has not played since injuring his ribs in the Week 6 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he said he was dealing with multiple rib injuries. Despite missing some time, he leads the Lions with 94 carries and is second in rushing yards behind rookie Jahmyr Gibbs with 385. It's unclear exactly how much of the workload the 26-year-old Montgomery will see in Week 10 after a four-week layoff, which will make him a bit hard to trust in fantasy in his first game back, albeit in a great matchup against the Chargers. Before his injury, Monty was the clear 1A back in Detroit over the rookie Gibbs.
