David Montgomery Doesn't Carry Injury Designation Into Week 10 Contest

Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery (ribs) put in a week of full practices and has been removed from the final Week 10 injury report on Friday. He will return on Sunday to face the Los Angeles Chargers after missing the last two games with rib injuries. Before his injury, the 26-year-old was Detroit's clear lead back and has found the end zone six time on the ground in five contests. However, rookie first-rounder Jahmyr Gibbs had 51 touches for 315 total yards and two rushing touchdowns while Montgomery was out, so he should be involved a bit more alongside Monty moving forward. Expect more of a committee approach against LA this weekend, putting both Montgomery and Gibbs in the RB2 tier in fantasy.
