David Montgomery, Craig Reynolds Not Practicing
one year ago

Detroit Lions running backs David Montgomery (ribs) and Craig Reynolds (hamstring, toe) were both missing from practice on Wednesday. Montgomery is expected to miss time after getting hurt in the Week 6 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, so his DNP isn't much of a surprise, but Reynolds' injuries makes Detroit's backfield even more beat up heading into Week 7 against the Baltimore Ravens. Meanwhile, rookie Jahmyr Gibbs (hamstring) is trending in the right direction to return after missing the last two games. Even if Reynolds makes progress and is able to play this weekend, Gibbs would most likely be in a feature-back role on Sunday, which would give him clear volume-based RB2 upside in a strong Lions offense. Fantasy managers need to move Monty to their benches, at least for Week 7.
