Darrynton Evans Scores First Touchdown This Season
one year ago

Chicago Bears running back Darrynton Evans found the end zone for the first time this year on Sunday night, finishing with four carries for 18 yards and a rushing touchdown. He also added three catches for 22 yards on four targets. With Khalil Herbert (ankle) on IR, there was an opportunity for touches in the Bears' backfield. Evans ended up with fewer touches than both Roschon Johnson and D'Onta Foreman, but he managed to find paydirt and had the best game in the running back room. The 25-year-old had the most yards of any running back and should remain in the mix in some capacity until Herbert returns. The Bears take on the Saints in Week 9, who allow the fifth-fewest points to running backs this season. While Evans is likely to have some role, his matchup combined with an uncertain role should keep him out of fantasy lineups.
