Darren Waller Nursing Groin Injury
one year ago

New York Giants tight end Darren Waller (groin) is not practicing on Wednesday due to a groin injury. The 31-year-old has been dealing with a hamstring ailment over the last few years, so a new lower-body injury is obviously not ideal. Waller finally came alive in Week 5 after a slow start to the season, catching eight passes for 86 yards. However, his fantasy floor and ceiling are not what fantasy managers were hoping for in 2023. The Giants led by Daniel Jones (neck) have one of the worst offenses in the NFL, and Waller has posted finished outside the top 20 tight ends in total fantasy points in three of five weeks. He's still probably a must-start given the scarcity of the position, but he's far from bust-proof in any matchup. He'll face the Buffalo Bills in Week 6.
