Darren Waller Dealing With Lingering Hamstring Issue
one year ago

New York Giants tight end Darren Waller (hamstring), who isn't practicing on Wednesday, revealed that his hamstring injury is the "same" right hamstring that landed him on Injured Reserve with the Las Vegas Raiders last year, although it's a slightly different issue. Waller got through the Week 1 beatdown at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys and had three catches for a team-high 36 yards, but it's a lingering issue that hopefully won't last much longer. The 31-year-old said it's a nerve issue, but head coach Brian Daboll said he'd be OK and will receiver a veteran rest day once a week. Waller doesn't appear to be in any danger of missing Week 2 against the Atlanta Falcons, and he should remain in all starting lineups as quarterback Daniel Jones' preferred target in the passing attack.
