Darnell Mooney Returns To Full Practice Thursday

Chicago Bears wide receiver Darnell Mooney (illness) was under the weather and didn't practice with the team on Wednesday but he was clearly feeling better on Thursday and was listed as a full participant. Mooney shouldn't have any issues getting ready to play this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, and he could be in for some extra targets if tight end Cole Kmet (quadriceps), who was added to the injury report on Thursday, is limited or out in Week 16. Still, the 26-year-old Mooney has been in the shadow of top wideout DJ Moore all year in 2023 and has a disappointing 29 receptions for 409 yards and only one touchdown in 14 games. Mooney's season was summed up during last week's nearly successful Hail Mary attempt with time expiring in the fourth quarter when the ball went in and out of his hands in the end zone.
