Darnell Mooney In The Concussion Protocol
11 months ago

Chicago Bears wide receiver Darnell Mooney (concussion) self-reported concussion-like symptoms when he came to the team's facilities on Monday and is in the league's concussion protocol, according to head coach Matt Eberflus. Mooney is most likely going to miss practice time this week, and if he's unable to get on the field at all or clear the protocol, he'll have to sit out the Week 17 contest versus the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. Chicago's receiving corps is pretty banged up with tight end Cole Kmet (knee) also getting hurt in the Week 16 win over the Arizona Cardinals. If Mooney cannot play this weekend, Trent Taylor would have a bigger role out of the slot. UPDATE: Mooney did not practice Wednesday.
