Daniel Jones To Have ACL Repaired Wednesday
12 months ago

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones (knee) told Kay Adams that he will have surgery in New York on Wednesday to fix the torn ACL that he suffered in the Week 9 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. Jones said that Wednesday was the best time for the procedure and that he'll have plenty of football to watch as he recovers. He played in six games in 2023 before his season-ending knee injury and also dealt with a neck injury before tearing his ACL. Veteran backup Tyrod Taylor (ribs) is on Injured Reserve and may not make it back this year either, leaving third-stringer and undrafted rookie Tommy Devito as the starter under center. Jones completed a career-high 67.5% of his passes for 909 yards, two touchdowns and six interceptions in his six starts this year.
