Daniel Jones Out Versus Commanders
one year ago

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones (neck) is out for the Week 7 contest on Sunday against the Washington Commanders. It means that backup Tyrod Taylor will make his second straight start after almost pulling off the upset last Sunday night against the Buffalo Bills. Jones will be missing his second straight game and will not be able to improve on his 5-1-1 record against the Commanders. The 26-year-old was considered a long shot to play this week, so fantasy managers should have already gone in another direction at QB this week. Jones wasn't cleared for contact this week, and it remains to be seen if he'll be cleared next week in the leadup to the Week 8 game against the New York Jets. Taylor should be considered a low-end QB2 option in superflex leagues in a solid matchup.
