Daniel Jones Expected To Practice Wednesday
one year ago

New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that quarterback Daniel Jones (neck) is expected to practice on Wednesday after being cleared for contact on Sunday morning. After missing the last three games, Jones is now set to return for a Week 9 contest versus the Las Vegas Raiders. It's good timing, as backup Tyrod Taylor (ribs) was injured in the 13-10 loss to the New York Jets on Sunday. All of New York's offensive weapons should get a slight boost with Jones trending toward a return in Week 9, especially tight end Darren Waller. The 26-year-old Jones has completed a career-high 68.9 percent of his 151 pass attempts through five games for 884 yards, but with only two touchdowns and six interceptions. He'll have a nice matchup to return to against the Raiders if he's active.
