Daniel Jones A QB2 In Return To Starting Lineup
one year ago

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones (neck) has been cleared to return and will be the starting quarterback once again in Week 9 against the Las Vegas Raiders. It will be his first game action since Week 5. The former first-round pick was having a rough year statistically before the injury and will now be without his top receiving option, tight end Darren Waller (hamstring). His offensive line, however, is recovering. Tackles Andrew Thomas (hamstring) and Evan Neal (ankle) could return to the lineup as well. The Raiders are one of the better pass defenses in football and they routinely get beat through the ground game. Jones is no better than a middling QB2 for Week 9.
