Dameon Pierce Held In Check In Week 8 Loss

Houston Texans running back Dameon Pierce couldn't get much going on the ground in the team's 15-13 loss against the Carolina Panthers in Week 8. Pierce ran the ball just 12 times for 46 yards in the contest. The second-year back continues to see limited opportunities on offense with veteran Devin Singletary in Houston. They split the backfield almost equally on Sunday, which led to a modest production from Pierce. The young back did have a two-yard score called back early in the second quarter before fullback Andrew Beck punched it in. Pierce will look to get something going next week at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
