D'Onta Foreman Could Resurface In Week 6
one year ago

Chicago Bears running back D'Onta Foreman, who has been a healthy scratch for the team's last four games, could factor into the game plan in Week 6 versus the Minnesota Vikings due to a rash of injuries in Chicago's backfield, per Gene Chamberlain of SI.com. Starter Khalil Herbert (ankle) was forced from Week 5 with a high-ankle sprain after No. 2 back Roschon Johnson (concussion) was concussed earlier in the 40-20 win. To exacerbate things, satellite back Travis Homer (hamstring) also exited the contest with a hamstring injury to leave the Bears with fullback Khari Blasingame as the backfield's last man standing. With Herbert potentially down multiple weeks, Foreman could be thrust into action even if Johnson is able to pass concussion protocol ahead of next Sunday's divisional tilt. Minnesota has been more vulnerable through the air than on the ground, so the 27-year-old might present a weak case as a plug-and-play RB2, anyway.
