Curtis Samuel Missing From Practice Again Thursday
one year ago

Washington Commanders wide receiver Curtis Samuel (toe) missed his second straight day of practice on Thursday. Unless Samuel is able to practice in some capacity on Friday, he's likely to be held out of the Week 9 contest versus the New England Patriots. The 27-year-old veteran was injured in the Week 8 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Until further notice, fantasy managers should keep him stashed on their benches for this weekend. If Samuel is eventually ruled out, Jahan Dotson will have a good opportunity for an encore performance after breaking out to the tune of a season-high eight catches for 108 yards and his second touchdown of the year on a season-high 10 targets. Jamison Crowder and Dyami Brown would also be in line for more work behind Dotson and Terry McLaurin.
