Cowboys Want To Get Rico Dowdle More Touches
12 months ago

Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said he would like to get running back Rico Dowdle more touches, but he also doesn't have a problem with the current ball distribution in the backfield between Dowdle and Tony Pollard. It's worth noting, but the Cowboys may not actually make a concerted effort to make it happen in Week 11 against the Carolina Panthers unless the Cowboys are up big again. Dowdle had 12 carries for 79 yards and a touchdown last week in a game that wasn't close against the New York Giants. Dowdle is averaging 4.5 yards per carry this year behind Pollard, but he's going to need more than six touches per game to bump up to standalone fantasy value. If the 25-year-old continues to impress and Pollard continues to disappoint, Dowdle could see more touches sooner than later.
