Cowboys Sticking With Mike McCarthy For 2024 Season
10 months ago

The Dallas Cowboys will not make a head-coaching change following their blowout loss to the Green Bay Packers in the wild-card round of the playoffs and will have Mike McCarthy return for the 2024 season, according to sources. McCarthy will be heading into the final year of his contract, which is not unusual for the Cowboys organization. McCarthy has led Dallas to three straight 12-5 seasons and also won the NFC East over the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023, but the team had another embarrassing early exit in this year's postseason. The Cowboys have gone 42-25 in the regular season in McCarthy's four seasons as the head coach, but they've gone just 1-3 in the playoffs. Dallas hasn't advanced to the conference championship in the NFC since 1995.
