Commanders To Interview Five Head-Coaching Candidates
10 months ago

The Washington Commanders will conduct second interviews with five head-coaching candidates over the next two days with Baltimore Ravens assistant head coach Anthony Weaver, Ravens defensive coordinator Mike MacDonald, Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn and Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson. Johnson has been believed to be the favorite all along, but ESPN's Adam Schefter pumped the brakes on that on the Pat McAfee Show on Monday. "I'm not convinced yet that Ben Johnson is getting the Commanders job," Schefter said. If Washington goes in another direction, Johnson could also land the head-coaching gig with the Seattle Seahawks to replace Pete Carroll. Quinn is considered the favorite for Seattle's vacancy, but he, too, isn't a slam dunk.
