The Washington Commanders owners hope to evaluate head coach Ron Rivera and his job status at the conclusion of the 2023 season. The team is coming off a bad upset loss to the New York Giants and will face the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving on Thursday. Rivera is one of the most respected coaches in the NFL, but Washington's ownership may decide that it's time to move on from the veteran coach and move in another direction for 2024 and beyond. Young quarterback Sam Howell has had his ups and downs but is a potential franchise signal-caller for Washington, and he's surrounded by some young and exciting offensive weapons, but the Commanders currently sit at 4-7 and only one game better than the last-place Giants, who they lost to twice this year.
