Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet (knee), who had been listed as questionable, is officially active for Week 17 versus the Atlanta Falcons. The 24-year-old missed back-to-back practices earlier in the week but managed to return in a limited capacity on Friday. He was trending in the right direction prior to kickoff but underwent a pregame workout to confirm his status. Indeed, Kmet will suit up and figures to remain a key part of the Bears' passing attack. After some early-season inconsistencies, the tight end has come on quite strong, catching 21 passes for 239 yards and one touchdown over his last four games.
