Clyde Edwards-Helaire Steps Up In Sunday’s Win
11 months ago

Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire carried out a much better showing in Week 15's 27-17 win over the New England Patriots than he did last Sunday as the team's lead back, rushing 13 times for 37 yards with four catches for 64 yards and a touchdown. Edwards-Helaire endured a quiet first half with eight yards on the ground amid a pass-heavy Chiefs approach, but he looked the part of a former first-round pick on a shifty 48-yard screen catch to help set up a scoring drive. The 5-foot-7 tailback climbed the ladder for an impressive six-yard score in the back of the end zone following a Chiefs takeaway, and Edwards-Helaire continued to look revived on a 20-yard rush during the third quarter. After soundly out-touching Jerick McKinnon 17-7, CEH would present some upside RB2 life next Monday afternoon at home versus the Las Vegas Raiders if Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) isn't ready to return.
