Clyde Edwards-Helaire Looks To Hold Down The Fort
12 months ago

Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire should get a chance back in the spotlight for a Week 14 date with the Buffalo Bills. The 2020 first-round pick has mostly burnt out in 11 games this year, rushing 40 times for 140 yards (career-low 3.5 yards per carry) and a touchdown with seven catches for 44 yards. Edwards-Helaire is the favorite for early-down/base work with featured back Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) ruled out for Sunday. Scat back Jerick McKinnon should chip in on third downs and obvious passing situations, but it's Edwards-Helaire who is positioned for the most substantial gain in fantasy value. Buffalo's defense has surrendered the fourth-most targets (89), catches (68) and receiving yards (559) to the position, and they're dispensing the third-highest yards per carry (4.7). CEH is an immediate plug-and-play RB2 with upside in a matchup that carries the second-highest implied point total (49) of the slate.
