Clyde Edwards-Helaire Jumps Right Back On The Map
11 months ago

Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire started the day on the bench but ended up serving as the team's lead back in Week 16's 20-14 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, taking four carries for six yards and catching each of his three targets for 42 yards. Isiah Pacheco (concussion) returned from a two-game absence due to shoulder surgery on Monday but left early and didn't return after losing his helmet and getting inadvertently kneed in the temple by a teammate. Edwards-Helaire's afternoon was highlighted by a 32-yard catch-and-run in the fourth quarter, but the bigger takeaway here is that he may very well be the most important name remaining on the majority of fantasy waiver wires for the finals after he was likely discarded. Jerick McKinnon (groin) is on injured reserve, so CEH would likely take all the run he could handle as a possible league-winning pickup at home in Week 17 versus the Cincinnati Bengals if Pacheco is out.
