Clyde Edwards-Helaire Gets Another Crack As Lead Back
11 months ago

Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire mostly failed to capitalize on a golden opportunity in his Week 14 return as the team's lead back with Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) out. Other than a 20-yard catch, the 24-year-old former first-round pick wasn't impressive in plodding his way to 39 ground yards on 11 carries. There's good news for fantasy managers; Edwards-Helaire easily set new a season best with a 48.5% snap share and matched a season high with 12 routes run. Jerick McKinnon crossed the end zone last Sunday, but his overall opportunity hardly expanded. CEH should handle a similar role in Week 15 against the New England Patriots, with Pacheco still out and the Chiefs checking in as considerable favorites. While not the most appealing RB2 of the bunch, CEH remains a volume-driven plug-and-play option against a Pats squad bottling up opposing RBs for the fewest yards per carry (3.2) in the NFL.
