Clyde Edwards-Helaire Draws Surprising Week 1 Start
one year ago

Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire rushed six times for 22 yards with a seven-yard catch in Thursday's 21-20 loss to the Detroit Lions. After the 24-year-old started each of KC's three preseason outings, that treatment unexpectedly carried into the regular season. But as was also the case in the preseason, Edwards-Helaire did nothing of much impact over his seven touches except frustrate Isiah Pacheco's fantasy managers. CEH played only 23% of the team's offensive snaps, but his usage will need to be monitored going forward. The former first-rounder is not much of a recommended waiver wire add despite starting Week 1, and CEH should be regarded as more of a handcuff at this time.
