Chuba Hubbard In Line For Lead-Back Duties Against Miami
one year ago

The Carolina Panthers have ruled out running back Miles Sanders (shoulder) for the Week 6 game against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, meaning backup Chuba Hubbard is now in line for lead-back duties. Things had been trending this way with Sanders having not practiced all week. The 24-year-old Hubbard only played two fewer offensive snaps than Sanders in the Week 5 loss to the Detroit Lions and led the backfield with nine carries for 35 rushing yards. Hubbard really has a chance to take over Carolina's backfield in Week 6, although the matchup might not be the friendliest if the Dolphins get out to a big lead and force the Panthers to abandon the run. Still, Hubbard should be scooped up off the waiver wire immediately if he's available. He'll have volume-based RB2 upside in the absence of Sanders.
