Christian McCaffrey Breaks NFL Record Monday Night
one year ago

San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey set the NFL record for the most consecutive games with a touchdown, including playoffs, at 16 in the team's 22-17 loss to the Vikings in Minnesota on Monday. McCaffrey, who had fantasy managers sweating for most of the week due to uncertainty concerning an oblique injury, didn't show any ill effects. He handled 15 carries for 45 yards and a touchdown on the ground, and caught all three targets for 51 yards and a touchdown through the air. Perhaps the most encouraging sign for McCaffrey's health is that backup running backs Elijah Mitchell and Jordan Mason combined for one carry and no targets. CMC will keep fantasy teams on his back in Week 8 when the 49ers host a porous Cincinnati Bengals run defense.
