Chiefs Playing It Safe With Kadarius Toney
one year ago

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid more or less confirmed that the team is being careful when it comes to wide receiver Kadarius Toney, who had knee surgery at the start of training camp in the summer. The Chiefs want to make sure the oft-injured wideout can make it through the season. The former first-round pick of the New York Giants in 2021 out of Florida hasn't played more than 42% of the offensive snaps in a single game this year, and he saw just 12% of the snaps in the Week 9 win over the Miami Dolphins in Germany. Until the 24-year-old becomes more involved, he can be ignored in most fantasy leagues. Toney hasn't caught more than one pass in a game since Week 6 and has just 20 receptions for 127 yards and one TD in nine games with the Chiefs in 2023.
