Chase Brown Providing Spark For Bengals Offense
12 months ago

Cincinnati Bengals rookie fifth-round running back Chase Brown wasn't known as a speed guy coming out of college, but he has provided the Bengals offense with a spark the last two weeks and was clocked at 22.05 mph on a screen pass he turned into a 54-yard touchdown in the Week 14 win over the Indianapolis Colts. It was the second-fastest speed reached by a ball-carrier in the NFL in 2023. Brown's opportunities were limited in the first three months, having played eight offensive snaps in the first six games before going on Injured Reserve with a pulled hamstring. In the last two games, he has 166 scrimmage yards and one touchdown. Joe Mixon remains Cincy's lead back, but Brown is worth a waiver-wire pickup for those fantasy managers still playing for something down the stretch, at least as RB depth .
