Cardinals Say Kyler Murray Is Out For Week 9
one year ago

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (knee) won't start in Week 9 against the Cleveland Browns. Head coach Jonathan Gannon is also leaving Murray's status up in the air for a possible Week 10 start versus the Atlanta Falcons, per Tyler Drake of Arizona Sports. The 26-year-old Murray's 2023 debut and comeback from a Week 14, 2022 ACL tear will have to wait at least one more week, as journeyman fill-in Joshua Dobbs is now set to be thrown to the wolves on the road next Sunday opposing a vicious Browns defense. The Cardinals are taking an extremely cautious approach with the former Heisman Trophy winner and No. 1 overall pick, who practiced in full before Sunday's 31-24 loss the Baltimore Ravens. Murray remains worth stashing in fantasy's banged-up QB landscape, but he'll hope Arizona's 1-7 season doesn't further derail and that top target Marquise Brown isn't traded by Tuesday's deadline.
