Calvin Ridley Records 32 Yards In Week 2 Loss To Chiefs
one year ago

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Calvin Ridley came back to earth vs. Kansas City in Week 2, logging only two receptions for 32 yards. After exploding for 101 yards and a touchdown in his first game back in two years, Ridley was shooting up end-of-season rankings but those expectations may need to be tempered after this performance. The good news is that Ridley still drew eight targets, so quarterback Trevor Lawrence clearly wanted to get the ball to his star pass-catcher, but a 25% catch rate is atrocious. The entire Jags offense was very out of sync throughout the day, so fantasy managers shouldn't be worried about the long-term prospects of Ridley this season. He will be ranked as a top-15 receiver next week against the Texans.
