Calvin Ridley Held To Only 39 Yards Vs. Ravens
11 months ago

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Calvin Ridley caught five passes for 39 yards and zero scores in a loss vs. the Ravens on Sunday night. It was another forgettable performance by Ridley and the Jaguars who looked completely overwhelmed vs. Baltimore's elite defensive unit. The former first-round pick did lead the team in targets with 12, four higher than the next closest pass-catcher, so he remains a clear focal point of this passing attack. Ridley was also millimeters away from snaring his sixth touchdown reception of the season when he caught a ball in the back of the end zone late in the fourth quarter. The pass was called incomplete on the field but challenged by head coach Doug Pederson, and after a lengthy review it was announced the call stood. These near-TDs seem to happen to Ridley every other week, but hopefully he won't need any close calls when the Jaguars travel to Tampa and take on the soft Bucs secondary next Sunday afternoon.
