The New York Giants placed kicker Cade York (quadriceps) on injured reserve on Friday, after he aggravated a quad injury in practice on Thursday. York was next in line to take over as the Giants' kicker after Randy Bullock (hamstring) was injured in Week 15's game against the New Orleans Saints. New York signed 39-year-old veteran Mason Crosby to the practice squad with the expectation that he will be elevated to the active roster on Monday when the Giants face off against the Philadelphia Eagles. Crosby was previously on the Los Angeles Rams' practice squad but Week 16 will be his first in-game action of 2023.
