C.J. Stroud Expected To Play Sunday
one year ago

Houston Texans rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud (shoulder) didn't do much at practice on Friday while resting a sore right throwing shoulder, but he is expected to play in Week 2 against the Indianapolis Colts. If he cannot go, backup Davis Mills will step in under center. The Texans listed Stroud as questionable on Friday's final Week 2 injury report. Fantasy managers using the 21-year-old first-round pick in their starting lineups in superflex two-QB leagues will need to check Houston's inactives on Sunday morning, but it would be a surprise at this point if he didn't play. The second overall pick went 28-for-44 for 242 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in the Week 1 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
