C.J. Stroud Clears Concussion Protocol

Houston Texans rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud (concussion) has cleared the league's concussion protocol and will speak with the media on Thursday after practicing for the second straight day. Stroud suffered a concussion in Week 14 and has missed the last two games, but he's primed to return as the starter under center in Week 17 against the Tennessee Titans. Veteran Case Keenum made a second straight start in the Week 16 loss to the Cleveland Browns last Sunday but played poorly and was benched in favor of Davis Mills in the second half. Stroud has been fantastic in his first NFL season in his first 13 games, completing 62.4% of his 441 pass attempts for 3,631 yards, 20 touchdowns and only five interceptions. The first-rounder will be back in play as a low-end QB1 for fantasy managers during championship week. UPDATE: Stroud was a full participant in Thursday's practice.
