Buccaneers Looking At Jerrod Johnson, Antwaan Randle El

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers plan to interview Houston Texans quarterbacks coach Jerrod Johnson and Detroit Lions wide receivers coach Antwaan Randle El for their offensive-coordinator job. Randle El began his coaching career with the Buccaneers as an offensive assistant in 2019. In addition to the Buccaneers, the New Orleans Saints, Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers are looking at Johnson for the same position. His stock is on the rise after the great work he did with rookie first-round quarterback C.J. Stroud in 2023. The Buccaneers are looking to replace Dave Canales, who departed to take the head-coaching gig with the Carolina Panthers. Under Canales in 2023, quarterback Baker Mayfield had the best season of his career.
