Broncos Working To Get Marvin Mims Jr. More Involved?
one year ago

Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton indicated that rookie wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. could be more involved in the offense coming out of their bye week. "We're going to work our tails off to move that needle to where he's getting opportunities," Payton said. It doesn't mean that Mims is all of a sudden going to be worth a spot in starting fantasy lineups against the Buffalo Bills in Week 10, but it's worth watching. The 21-year-old had just one catch for no gain in the Week 8 upset win over the Kansas City Chiefs, but he did play a season-high 40.8 percent of the offensive snaps in that contest. Mims has an impressive 22.4 yard-per-catch average in his first NFL season, but he's caught only 11 passes for 246 yards and one TD in his first eight games. For now, he'll continue to be a boom/bust deep threat in Denver's offense behind receivers Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy.
