Broncos Defense Limits Chiefs To Three Field Goals
one year ago

The Denver Broncos defense stepped up in a big way in Week 8 to keep the vaunted Kansas City Chiefs offense out of the end zone on Sunday in a 24-9 upset win over their division rivals to snap a streak of 16 straight losses against KC. Heading into the Monday night game to close out Week 8 action, the Broncos defense is the top-scoring defense/special teams unit of the week. They recorded three sacks of quarterback Patrick Mahomes while also picking him off twice and recovering three fumbles on a cold day in Denver. The Broncos defense held the Chiefs offense to 275 total yards and limited Mahomes to 213 yards through the air. Denver's D is tied for 10th in overall fantasy points after eight weeks, but they'll have a tough Week 10 matchup against the Buffalo Bills after their Week 9 bye.
