Brandon Aiyuk Limited Tuesday, Likely To Be Game-Time Decision
one year ago

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk (shoulder) will be limited in practice on Tuesday. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said that Aiyuk will likely be a game-time decision for Thursday night's game against the New York Giants to kick off Week 3. Aiyuk had a CT scan on Monday that ruled out a broken clavicle, and it's good news that he returned to the practice field on Tuesday. However, whether he plays on Thursday is going to come down to pain tolerance and whether the Niners feel like risking it early in the season. The 25-year-old suffered a shoulder injury early in the Week 2 win over the Los Angeles Rams and ended up playing only 53% of the snaps while catching three of six targets for 43 yards. Aiyuk could be in danger of playing fewer snaps again if he suits up on a short week. If he's out or limited Jauan Jennings figures to benefit the most from a bigger role in the passing attack.
