Brandin Cooks Has A Chance To Play In Week 2
one year ago

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Brandin Cooks (knee) was listed as a non-participant in Wednesday's walkthrough practice, but head coach Mike McCarthy said the veteran wideout is doing "OK" and thinks he'll do a little more on Thursday. There is a chance that Cooks will be able to play in Week 2 on Sunday against the New York Jets. It's an injury to watch for the 29-year-old pass-catcher, but it doesn't appear to be serious enough to keep him from playing this weekend. However, the injury combined with an extremely tough matchup against a ball-hawking Jets defense is enough to make fantasy managers wary of using Cooks in a flex spot in Week 2. Dallas didn't have to do much throwing in their 40-0 dismantling of the New York Giants in the season opener, so Cooks only had two catches for 22 yards on four targets in his Cowboys debut.
