Bobby Slowik Agrees To New Deal With Texans
10 months ago

Houston Texans offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik has agreed to a new deal in Houston within the last few days that will include a significant raise, according to sources. Slowik impressed multiple NFL teams during the interview process for a head-coaching job this cycle, but he'll remain with the Texans for at least another year. He'll most certainly be a hot candidate again next offseason. The return of Slowik, one of the brighter offensive minds in the game right now, is great news for quarterback C.J. Stroud, who is the unanimous favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year. With Slowik calling the plays for the first time as a coach, he helped guide the Texans to a division title and a playoff win. Before making his decision to stay in Houston, Slowik interviewed for the head-coaching jobs with the Washington Commanders, Seattle Seahawks, Carolina Panthers, Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons.
