Bills Abandon James Cook In Pass-Heavy Approach
one year ago

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook was hardly involved in Week 9's 24-18 defeat to the Cincinnati Bengals, carrying the ball six times for 20 yards with four receptions for 19 yards. The Bills were dominated in time of possession during the first half, leaving them with little chance of establishing the run with Cook for the rest of the game as they played in catch-up mode. This was not exactly the type of display fantasy managers were looking for with veteran Leonard Fournette looming on Buffalo's practice squad. Latavius Murray also occupied some valuable snaps late in Sunday's meeting, insinuating that Buffalo remains without a full amount of trust in the 24-year-old Cook. The 2022 second-rounder has accrued double-digit half-PPR fantasy points in just one of his last five outings, but a potential get-right spot awaits Cook in the form of the Denver Broncos in Week 10 on Monday Night Football.
